Kevin Federline—whose main claim to fame is being the ex-husband of fallen pop star Britney Spears—has made the news again, in a much less flattering way. According to Digital Spy, K-Fed was recently served with a $57,000 tax bill by the IRS, which claims that the former backup dancer failed to pay his taxes in 2009 and 2010.
Just how far has K-Fed fallen? Well, if $57,000 doesn't seem like a whole lot for a two-year span, you're absolutely right. Apparently, Federline's sole source of income was for his cameo role in the ill-fated movie American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, and for being a contestant on the VH1 reality show Celebrity Fit Club. During that time, Digital Spy says, Federline received “spousal support” from Spears, with which he presumably covered expenses for the two sons they have together (he also has three children from another marriage), and he has not been much in the public eye since.
Adding insult to injury, the IRS served K-Fed with papers on February 14, Valentine's Day. It's as yet unknown whether Britney Spears will cut her ex-husband a break and cover his tax bill, or let him twist slowly in the clutches of the federal government.
